PROVIDING A PLATFORM FOR ARTISTS IN OUR COMMUNITY
The Lion Art Gallery is dedicated to supporting the creative community in Leimert Park by providing a platform for local artists to showcase their work.
Our goal is to build and foster meaningful relationships with the creatives in our community and create a safe and inclusive space for all to express themselves through art.
Leimert Park is an incredibly vibrant and creative community in Los Angeles, and has long been a hub of artistic expression and cultural diversity. Leimert Park Village also known as Africa Town It's a community filled with writers, artists, musicians, entrepreneurs, and more, who all come together to share their talents, celebrate their successes, and contribute to the culture of the area.
It's a great place for people to come together to celebrate culture, nurture creativity, and revel in the artistry of the community.
Leimert Park is also home to a thriving music scene, both in terms of folk and community expressions as well as organized concerts.
Overall, Leimert Park is an incredibly creative and vibrant area of Los Angeles, and it's a great place to explore the local culture,
At The Lion Art Gallery, we value the importance of creativity and want to ensure that all members of the community are able to express themselves. To facilitate this, we bring together a diverse range of artists from both underrepresented and underserved communities.
By creating a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment for these artists, we hope to foster meaningful collaborations between different creatives from diverse backgrounds – encouraging more dynamic forms of expression, communication, and growth.
Our creative Thursday program is open to everyone, so community artists of all levels of experience are invited to come together, exchange ideas, and express themselves through art.
We also hold an art collective exhibit once a month that is open to the public for two weeks and includes a discussion panel with the featured artists to further encourage conversations between the public and community creatives.
Through our initiatives, we strive to build bridges between diverse creatives and the public to foster a stronger, more supportive creative community in Leimert Park. We believe that everyone should have access to creative expression and our programs are designed to make that possible.
All are welcome and encouraged to join us. Come, explore, learn, and create together.

@mcsupernatural art exhibit
His paintings are a reflection of the vastness of his intellect as he combines Afro futurism with his “on the spot” freestyle. Nat’s improvisational skills are unmatched in Hip Hop.
Come be a witness as he effortlessly takes his audience on a true artist journey.
I’m telling you to see his art combined with his flow is mind blowing.
Mc Supernatural born Reco Price started rhyming at the age of 14. After moving to New York City he made a name for himself free styling in Washington Square Park.
He is a legend amongst legends. His past successes include touring with Wutang Clan, Pete Rock & KRS One to name a few.
He continued his journey in elevating his artistry by becoming a producer and a visual artist. The first time I witnessed his art show it changed me.
I also wanted to see more of this in the art world and so I reimagined art galleries that were for us and by us.
If you haven’t checked out this exhibition please stop by. We are open weekends and by appointment during the week. Saturday, 3.26 @mcsupernatural will be dropping an album and hosting a listening party at the gallery from 5-7pm. Sunday, 3.27 @iamrezon will be throwing the first Leimert Unplugged at the gallery.
Next week we back with Wellness Wednesday!!! featuring myself on sound bowls and @inobenicole on the yoga flow. So please stay tapped in. Additional information to follow. Lastly, if you really connect with the art and want to enjoy a more intimidate setting our closing ceremony will be held on April 22nd and will be an immersive dinner. To thank Nat for blessing us with his art and I’m sure to ask some questions
As the mundane modern world is laden with turmoil, it is the inner peace; a quiet knowing that the Divine Feminine, armed with her female creative power, can heal the world. The Resurrection of the Divine Feminine is a whole, circular thought. It shows how the Divine Feminine will assist in nurturing our community through all things creative. It also shows how the Create(her) ultimately restores Balance.
It is the unyielding strength and unshaken resilience of Women of Color who withstand, while still experiencing and giving full joy and love. This is not by coincidence, but a portal of feminine flow. Ever present and in-tune like the cycles of the moon. She is a face of mysticism, spirituality and the full grown grace of Maat balance.
The Divine Feminine has re-gathered at this time; from the past, the present and the future to re-coup what has been squandered. To also re-ignite hope, to re-arise, to come again towards our own female creative power. Through all things we infinitely create, regenerate and restore the balance.

"The visual art of Ronda Brown directs viewers to reconsider themselves in relationship to the circular loop entangling and enchanting Black Antiquity and Black Futurity. Ronda’s ceramic work renders the morphological plasticity and mutational thrust of melanated humanity’s divinely feminine reproductive cycle with superbly crafted aplomb. Her luminous venticulars speak to our galactic origins and our galactic radiance on earth as it is in the starry heavens. Both bodies of Ronda’s creative brinksmanship invite us to extend our vision of the self and identity beyond terra firma grounded precepts and into the evolutionary flow and coso-biological groundation of the eternal Astro-Black genomic complex."
